I am not satisfied with my results. I can't say it's completely inaccurate but I have only one community while having ancestry from 4 Slavic countries. The most annoying is that they cut my 1/8 Bulgarian with previous updates to 2%, at least they increased it to 8% now.

Also Southeast Poland & Northwestern Ukraine community is a bit weird. On the map it shows Galicia, but not Northwestern part of Ukraine...

The Utah community is less surprising since many English went there and filled the place in the mid to late 19th century.

I can't remember if you have a US community?
No I have no US communities even though I have a lot of American cousins and many ancestors that have went to the US. All my GCs are Irish.

So they don't have Irish American GCs yet, it's MyHeritage that does. That confirms that my Pennsylvania and Mid-Atlantic communities are on my English side, and therefore related to the regional movement spoken of in Albion's Seed, and the Pennsylvania and possibly Northeast/Utah clusters shown in the 2017 genetic study of the 'American nations'.

    From the Jayman blog:

Now, it’s important to understand what these data actually mean. These clusters do not mean that the descendants of the colonial settlers are numerically dominant in their respective regions, because they are not. Over the course of the continent’s history, the descendants of the original settlers were joined by subsequent immigrants, mostly other Europeans, who themselves settled in different parts of the country.

So what then do the clusters of Han et al mean? While the original colonial ancestry of the country has been overrun by subsequent migrants, the founding stock remain as a genetic undercurrent – a common genetic thread – within each American nation. This is especially true in the nations of the American South, where the colonial settlers received less subsequent migration and the original stock remains strong.

The descendants of the Puritans, for example, while hardly the dominant genetic group across Yankeedom, nonetheless cluster together because people across Greater New England share that ancestry. This is true for the other nations as well.

Unfortunately I can't see their GCs. I used to be able to see relative's GCs but now you can only see if you share a GC.

One American relative shares Central Ireland but I can't see their American GCs and I can't see their full ethnicity breakdown either which is a bit frustrating. Just looking at a couple more and they share Munster Ireland even though they are all from my father's side. They are 2nd to 3rd cousins and a few generations removed but I know who they are from their surname. All my Irish relatives that went to the US intermarried with other ethnicities so it is interesting that some of these still have Irish GCs as they are a few generations removed from their Irish ancestor and the one I'm looking at now is 26% Ireland, 3% Scotland, 2% Wales (which most probably all comes from their Irish ancestry). I can't see the rest of the Ancestry breakdown though which is annoying.

One I can see more detail so it shows how mixed they are (for me anyway ). This one shares Central Ireland GC. (These are all from my father's side).

It's just interesting to see the results of some "Irish-Americans". I'm on the left and they are on the right. I don't know why I can see full results for some and not others?

In my case no significant difference only a slight change :
Eastern Europe and Russia: 97% (-1%)
    Baltics: 3% (+1%)

BTW: I see some people posted hacked results. How can you check these?

Here's another one. Looks like they have Jewish and Italian ancestry like the one above. This one also has Central Ireland GC.

Interesting to compare the above to a first cousin who lives in Ireland but also paternal. They share Central Ireland and Leinster Ireland GCs.

This is another one but Irish also.

A little bit OT but interesting to compare with diaspora populations.

I am slowly but surely morphing into a Scotsman

Nine out of ten concerns are completely unfounded.
