I would spontaneously say China.

But as for Russia/Ukraine conflict, an opposition between India and China won't be limited to thoses two countries. It seems china as many rivals in Asia, it's likely that India would receive some helps.
In bith countries the muslims community is big and source of troubles. A key is probably which country would manage them the better and avoid internal conflict.

The Muslim population in India is much bigger, though.

Muslim community is a source of trouble everywhere but I think China has managed to disciplined them way better than India.

I do not think it is even close to be honest.
I would say China is probably number 1 in the world already even if some/most people fail to recognize this.
Simply because China is no 1 in the manufacturing ouptut, controls most of the supply chains and is a formiddable technology power.
USA takes the 2nd place being like 2-3 times weaker than China.
Then there is a question who takes the 3rd spot.
For now I would say it is either India or Russia both being singnificantly weaker than the USA (2-3 times).
Potentially Japan and Germany could also rival the 3rd spot since both countries are advanced high-tech economies and manufacturing powers.

both have impressive population and both are nuclear-weapon states, but locals have lack of warrior mindset and spirit, they may defend themselves but never attack neighbors or far away foreign lands.. india and china never attempted to colonise or conquer another nation throughout history, if even not so their attempt was insignificant (see. chinese troops shit themselves in tiny vietnam).. both countries were always conquered by others. An eternal sino-indian border dispute is a joke

India in everything without a doubt.. Dravidian civilization is the oldest one in the entire world, dravidians fought bravely against invaders, unlike recent indo-aryans they are the indigenous folk in subcontinent after all.. genetically they're way closer to our people than anyone, and also the local folks are spiritual, mysterious, kind-hearted and creative compared to the chinese, however the vast majority of people could say the chinese are disciplined, productive as their culture values hard work, career is routinely placed as top priority in traditional, gaining loads of materialistic things etc..
