Well i do get a bit wound up when people say Jews are not White when many are

Having pale skin does not make one white. Jews are not white they are middle eastern Levantine semites. To be "white" one must be ethnically European. There are many light skinned(and red haired) Syrians, Lebanese, etc, but they are not considered white either.

I don't know where the Jewish red hair came from but it does seem the case that a lot remind me more of the British than a lot of Spanish, French, Italians with more warmer complexions.

Ashkenazi Jews (not other Jews as is known) have a frequency of MC1R RHC variants higher than Mediterranean populations. It really stands out because general Ashkenazi pigmentation is very Mediterranean and they don't otherwise overall overlap with Northern/Central Europeans for variants associated with lighter features. Interestingly I have/had a three Ashkenazi relatives (through marriage connections) with who have/had light auburn hair but also pale olive skin that did tan significantly better than typical Northern European redheads. I wonder exactly the cause although I don't know their specific genotype. Two other cases who had more clear red at one point had more pinkish skin. Perhaps slightly darker skin is more typical when rufosity occurs in more southern populations.

Well the Spanish are often not considered White by Brits because of their geographic location which has absorbed settlers from N Africa and further afield, ethnically only the Brits and the Dutch/Belgian French may be considered truely White as they have the least amounts of Mongol or Arab dna.

Spanish are almost universally counted as whites, except by people like Varg Vikernes, who would also not even count large parts of the English as white either.

Spanish are white because they are ethnically Europeans, Jews are not because they are Levantine Semites transplanted in Europe. Romani Gypsies are not white for a similar reason.
