I found it easier to pick up Spanish and Italian though. More simple grammar and spelling rules. I took to English better than to French in school, maybe because it was on TV all the time.
How would you say the following in Romanian?

    "Pour Que Tu M'Aimes Encore".
    "L'Amour Existe Encore".
    "Je Sais Pas".

    "Nu știu"

Not very similar and I also needed the help of google translate.

Do you think Romanian is easily the most distinct and differentiated Romance language? I think so. Even after they pumped it full of French words that were assimilated by Romanian language since the 19th century and marginalized much Slavic and Turkish derived vocabulary as archaisms, it still has a strong Slavic influence and quite a few Turkish derived words.

Yeah probably. Still, I see and hear a number of similarities with especially Iberian Portuguese: "eu" and "seguranca" come to mind, for example.

In my opinion its lexicon is, but its pronunciation might be closer than the French one. What I find interesting about Romanian is that sometimes there is a "lost" word or two in one's speech that sound really similar to Portuguese.

True, Romanian pronunciation is similar to Italian, Spanish and Portuguese. We pronounce words the same way we write or spell them. Portuguese also sounds Slavic influenced for some reason, although I know it's impossible for it to be.

The relatinztion was kinda bullshit in my opinion. How do all the inliterature peasants suddenly change how they speak. also their is letters from the 1500 and 1600s;that romanians understand pretty well

I've seen some people say that Portuguese, at least the European variety, actually sounds more Slavic than Romanian.

Once when I heard a Russian speaking for ~2 seconds I thought he was saying some random words in Portuguese with a European accent but then I realized it was a Slavic language, and I've seen some Portuguese people saying it's already happened to them too.

What are you trying to say? Peasants and other learned from school how to speak the language a bit differently. It wasn't overnight and I am not calling it 'relatinization'. It was still a Romance language, just with a stronger Slavic flavor(i.e. large part of vocabulary) than today. Are you trying to deny there wasn't massive adoption of French words in the language since the 19th century and that certain older Slavic derived words became archaism and marginalized. That would be hilarious, since it's not ancient history and it is well known.

Learning one Romance language will help you a lot in learning others or, on the other hand, it will confuse you even more at times.
