Recently I helped Mortimer get administered a clinical IQ test. It's one only licensed psychologists are allowed access to, and can cost up to $400. He asked me to share his results:
IQ 98 95% Confidence Interval 88 - 108
29 items were answered correctly (18 incorrectly).
This score is approximately average (precisely average would be 100), and is higher than what 45% of people obtain. There's a 95% chance that if he were to take the test again, it would be between 88 and 108.
There are some important things to note though. The IQ was calculated by comparing his score to the general US population in his age bracket, without regard for gender or ethnicity. Also, since this test only used matrix puzzles, he could score very differently on a different type of IQ test, like one testing vocabularly or math.
