Default Israel bombs ancient church in Gaza killing both Christians and Muslims inside

    The church is this:

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Church...rius_airstrike

It was built on the site as early as AD 425, when Europe (including most of Greece and Italy) was still pagan and predated the muslim conquest.

Dunno, to me ISIS destroying Palmyra comes to mind.

How quickly recent events are written on Wikipedia. In less than 24 hours of the event, the first article was already written, and the list of references is larger than that of the Battle of Trafalgar, although it did contain references to newspaper news.

The important thing is the lives lost, the importance of the building is relative and not comparable to that of Palmyra.

In Palmyra they wanted to erase the trace of the past, no one lives there, in this case I don't think that was the main intention, although it shouldn't be ruled out either.

Just the size of the destruction may not be comparable to Palmyra.

The building is a proto-Christian relic in an Islamic land that Israel wants. Of course, it is important and a trace of the past that many would want to erase.
Being their main intention or not.

I can find in less than 5 km around my town 8 sites, not proto-Christian but pre-Christian and even pre-Roman, and none of them have even one hundredth of the importance and relevance of the ruins of Palmyra.

On the other hand, a small part of the building is actually from that period, it is clearly seen that it has been greatly modified and that it has additions from more modern times.

The artistic and monumental importance of that church is minimal compared to Palmyra, perhaps the fact that there are not many in that area makes it have more value, but understand me, Palmyra is Palmyra.Probably you didn't even know that church until it was bombed.

Anyway If there were hundreds of people and 16 died, it is clear that it has not been completely destroyed, and that relic will continue existing, after being remodeled or the damaged parts rebuilt.

Not the 16 lives, those cannot be resurrected with stone and cement.

    You made two arguments.

    1) Historical significance compared to Palmyra, ok no comparison.

    2) The political significance of the building where ISIS destroyed Palmyra to erase a trace of the past. I argue that this case is of the same importance as the removal of Christian Arabs in the region.

I'm also quite shocked by the IDF tbh, they speak of the most developed army in the world. First, they don't predict the Hamas attack, now this.

Btw, did you see the videos of the archbishop speaking?

He's not Palestinian but from Greece (North Peloponnese), he has no interest in supporting any Palestinian cause. The reverse is true.
