You can probably fall in love instantaneously if you eventually encounter that person and they have at least a relatively decent appearance, and you had that virtual chemistry before that.

It’s definitely possible and has happened to me. When I was 16, I met a guy online on the gamer forum. We developed a very passionate online relationship that went on for months. Of course, at some point we exchanged photos and ended up liking each other even more. When we finally met IRL six month later, it was instant love. We dated for a while until we split for a completely unrelated reason. Obviously, it’s just my experience, but given that a lot of people nowadays meet online, I don’t think it’s rare.

Without even seeing a picture of them? No. What if they're someone I would personally consider pretty unattractive to me? This would always be on the back of the mind if I had no idea what they looked like.
