The migrants will be brought by boat from Lampedusa to Albania and they will stay there while their request for asylum will be treated by Italy. Italy will accept the request of asylum of a part of them. Those who are dismissed are supposed to go back to their country of origin, in any case they can’t stay in Albania and according to the agreement, Italy will have to take in charge those who didn’t get the right to asylum and for whom the return in the country of origin is not accepted by the authorities of the country of origin. And as it is almost impossible to bring migrants back to their country of origin - only very few are - they will anyway, inevitably pour into Italy and the rest of Western Europe.

Also, Albania will not take more than 3,000 migrants at the same time. As the requests of asylum will be treated by Italy, the migrants whom the file would have been treated will be replaced. So, according to the agreement, there should never be more than 3,000 migrants in the Italian camps in Albania. From that figure, it is estimated that Albania would be able to take around 36,000 migrants per year… That is anyway ridiculous in comparison with the years mass arrivals.

All of that is so hypocritical. It seems to me that all of this is mostly about communication.

If the EU really wanted to fight against this immigration, it would be necessary to stop giving public funds, with hundreds of millions (a number only for France!) to pro-migrants NGOs, including those picking them with boats in the Mediterranean (like with the Ocean Viking).
