Default Rallies and protests in Madrid and other cities against the Sánchez government politicies.

    Probably this will ends in...nothing.

The "official" press simply calls them "fachas" trying to remove credibility from the protests and avoiding any comment on the reason behind them.

Everything will be summarized by saying "they are an aggressive and violent minority. If they are not massive demonstrations, it is because the majority of the country supports the government."

Not very impressive afluence of people though.

Parece que está implicado en un caso de corrupción en proyectos energéticos. Él y varios ministros socialistas, algunos de los cuales han sido detenidos hoy.

It's a complex issue that has been dragging on since the last elections in Spain. The protests are not necessarily against policies but against the fact that Pedro Sanchéz has signed an agreement with part of the Catalan independentists (Esquerra Republicana) and is preparing to sign with the last party force (Junts per Catalunya) that organized the illegal referendum on Catalan independence in 2017. The agreement involves a pure political deal: the Catalan independents keep Pedro Sanchéz in power (without them there is no majority in Parliament for the PSOE side) and in return, the Socialists approve an amnesty that frees Carles Puigdemont, former leader of the Generalitat, and other independence leaders from all convictions and investigations that are still pending in the Spanish courts - and, of course, annuls the international arrest warrant issued in the name of Puigdemont. This move by Pedro Sanchéz, who lost the elections to Feijóo's PP, is pure political opportunism taken to the extreme and a desperate attempt to do everything to perpetuate itself in power.

Basically what you said, and all after when everything happened, he was the first to demand criminal responsibility for everything that happened back in 2017 and following years.

It is not only about the organization of the referendum and what this implies in the disintegration of the state, but about a general amnesty of 3000 people who knowingly, apart from continually disobeying the laws, diverted millions of euros of public funds and instigated public disorders . The case of the self-proclaimed CDRs that sought to establish themselves as an armed group and were preparing attacks with explosives is an absolutely minority case, but it exists after all, and they would also be freed of all charges.

None of those thousands of people's sentences included going to prison, because the few who went to prison (8-10 persons in total?) came out on the streets in a short time and during their stance in prison lived in privileged conditions compared to ordinary prisoners, but a large part of them were political officials who would be incapacitated to run for election again.

For getting just 5 votes in the Spanish parlament, forgiveness of the Catalan public debt (15 billion euros), preferential distribution of state and European funds, total amnesty for people who they themselves declared guilty, and on top of that they offered to repeat the referendum and they felt so grown up that they demand that instead of repeating itself, the result of 2017 is accepted.

That is no longer even seeking an agreement to solve something, with both parties giving in,looking for an intermediate position, that is simply surrendering the entire state to someone who wants to destroy the state.

Many of the PSOE itself are against all this, but not even the PP dares to unite with Vox for fear of being considered "extremist", much less those of the PSOE itself will dare.

The PP also denounces all this, but has such a complex about being called a "facha" or that it is VOX who plays a dominant role in the Spanish right, that it prefers to make its own demonstrations.

This is something that affects the state itself, right and left should be together.

I always say the same thing, but how lucky the Portuguese and French are to have defended themselves with laws against regionalism from the beginning, preventing them from upping the ante until they later became nationalism and finally independentists.

They have been a burden for the country since they emerged at the end of the 19th century, and not only because of the lack of cohesion they cause, which makes us vulnerable to destabilization by foreign powers, but also because of the damage they have done to the economy, to the progress of the country as a whole and to the equitable distribution of wealth, creating regional inequalities that persist even today.
