I am a lover of the Celtic music that is Irish and I notice that there is a rather odd similarity in the instrumentation and the way they are played the general "sound" of the music. Not the bar drinking Irish songs, of course. I mean the instrumental Celtic music with the harps and the pipes and other kind of things sounds remincient of the Middle East. Is it possible that the Irish are one of the lost tribes of Israel? See this:

Irish Celtic music and Middle Eastern music are nothing alike. For example, look at this music video, there is 0000000% similarity in terms of musicality.

The "vibe" to me is extremely similar. You can cherry pick certain SONGS that are different, but as an actual musician I am astounded at how they are similar. I am talking about HEBREW -Jewish music, not the towel headed kind.

In your head, in your head. It's in your head.

That is Ashkenazi Jewish music, not even directly from the Middle-East. It has heavy Central/East Euro influence. Odd that you would use it to represent Middle-Eastern music.

Okay, LOL. But.. you really can hear some strains of it that sound like a middle eastern. The Celtic instrumentals that have the soft pipes and in minor key is very similar to the Hebrew style.

That wasn't the best example. But I hear some of the jingle jangle tunes that spring up and I hear a trace of a Middle Eastern sound in them. I can't explain it but if you get into the Celtic music you may understand what I mean.

It might be coincidental because there is no link. Irish music is fiddle, harp, tin whistle, pipes etc. Where would the Middle eastern influence come from as those populations haven't had contact. Possibly in all older forms of music you might find some similarities. Some singing styles are universal for example.

He has master point which I have noticed myself. Irish are swarthy for northern Europeans and darkest hair like Italians and that shows in swarthy style music.
