I mean, I hear it all the time, only for it to be instantly overturned in one of the usual dogfights on the Internet.
Like, apart from some foods, some words which are used mainly in street talk, and some gestures as I can remember from the top of my head as of now, what do we really have else in common? In terms of religion, and all the folklore that is derived from it, next to nothing, if not, nothing at all. Language is also ENTIRELY different, apart from some loanwords mainly for slang (street talk), which again, have their own terms in Greek as well. Mentality is also different, with some commonalities, which, to be honest, can be found all over the Meditteranean. Anthropologically, Greeks and Turks don't look alike that much, if I'm allowed to say that.
So, what do we and the Turks have in common? I'm not making this question with malicious intent, just genuinely curious.
