Winter has arrived! Any recommendations for a good brand of winter coat?

Cool! I’ll kick it up a notch too. Do you own any of your grandfather’s combat gear?

Not my grandfather`s, but from one of my great grandfathers. His Kar98 rifle (sadly made unusable because laws) and his medals. His uniform is neatly stored away at my grandmas, since the only one who`d be able to wear it is my youngest brother, who doesnt have interest in it. (Both my brother and great granpops are/were 6.5ft/2 meters tall for info)

One thing i did spend some serious cash on was a good pair of boots. The first few winters I wore those traction chains you put over your shoes. They worked fine for their intended purpose. But they were a pain to deal with when you went indoors. You had to take them off and secure them. Even worse they would tear up my shoes.

My neigbour just moved out and was getting rid of stuff and he gave me his grandfathers jacket from the Winter War in Finland. I wonder if There's a way to wash/rise it clean.
