Winter has arrived! Any recommendations for a good brand of winter coat?

Brands like Columbia, The North Face, etc. are expensive. I am looking for a good price value.

We relocated a few years back. It was the first time I had lived where it actively snows in the Winter. and I bought a cheap Target jacket that barely lasted the first season. I ended up investing in a Columbia jacket that has held me in good stead since then. It really is going to depend on the weather in your area. Don't go cheap. Don't go for the most expensive. Throw a little more in for quality.

Do you wear something under jeans except underpants? I can't stand additional stuff under jeans or joggers so that's why I use longer coats. But some people wear only jeans over underpants and short coat at the same time.

I held out on thermals for a bit too. Once I fell into a snow pile, I broke down. I go for Arctic Blast with those. They are warmer than the cheaper brands. The best way to make them last longer is to wear a regular pair of underpants underneath them. That way the thermals don't have to be washed as often. This cuts back a lot on their wear and tear.

I am a very squeamish person, I do not like to wear anything more than once (T-shirts, shirts, trousers). Even jeans - if I've been wearing them all day, I send them for a short wash like 15-20 minutes to refresh. I would have to wash any layer between underpants and trousers every time. Plus, as I said, I don't like the feeling of layers of clothing when everything below the waist is covered by some layers of clothing. It's easier for me to wear a warm jacket to my knees.

Now I moved to Russian South, there's like 7 days of weak frost during winter, so I feel much more comfortable in this question.

That sounds great. My experience is if my legs are warm, I overall feel warmer. The inherent awkwardness of long underwear melted away for me pretty quickly.

The typical weather in the region should be the defining factor. I don't need to get decked out like I'm racing the Iditarod or hiking to a research facility in Antarctica. So top of the top-of-the-line most expensive is kind of overkill. I can get five pairs of Arctic Blast for the price of one of those.

Nope, only jeans and boxer shorts. The only times I really freeze is when I`m very hungry. Must be some sort of Siberian genes or the likes coming through.

Balls and tool are quite outta whole body so I'm concerned about their temperature and safety when it's freezing

I`ve heard it`s become quiet the trend to ice the balls and generally keep them cool in body builder circles though, haha.

I think all extremeties are bad. For example, urologists here say that you have to avoid sauna some 3 months before trying to concieve a child.
