98% of modern neopaganism has nothing to do with pre Christian faith of our ancestors, it's just a romantic reconstruction which is heavily politicized. Also, consider that we're having totally different mindset of a gnostic civilization, mutilated by the previous age of ideologies and utopias, seeking for some kind of earthly political salvation/saviors, we and our ancestors are literally aliens to each other.

Do you think that studying everything original about Viking history that has come down to us requires more than a few hours?... Please avoid citing the Normans as an example of Viking history. The Normans had NOTHING of Viking and their culture was 100% Romanized.
The ESTE museum (Padua Veneto Italy) of the ancient pre-Roman population of my region (VENETI 1000 B.C.) contains many more archaeological finds (including writing) than all the Viking museums in Scandinavia combined.
