This is from David Buss "Evolutionnary psychology" which is the golden standard and as significant when it comes to human behaviors as general relativity or Darwin's study of the Galapos. Here is an abstract but i encourage anyone interested in serious sociology to read it. It hits you like a ton of brick several times even if some of us might have figured it out in their own life experiences, it just put it into words and actual hard repeatable datas.
In every single cultures around the globe, women valued the same things (and men too), while they are completely different cultures that had no contacts with each others, some highly developped, some still very primitives. Proving in substance it's entirely biological rather than anything cultural.
It's really mind blowing to try deny this with anedoctical evidences, i mean "cool story" but men absolutely have to operate on reality, they don't have the luxury to pray to bump into females several folds out of standard deviation. Which obviously exist and you can be plesantly surprised for sure from time to time but you harshly find out early in life, if you rely on believing in exceptions it will bite back soon or later and you ll achieve nothing. Better to embrace the cold truths and deal with it. It's probably even why men have dominated humanity all along, it's not that we are any smarter or stronger, it's that delusion leaded to failure and likely death quickly not that long ago so generally we will avoid it like plague. The society we ve built would collapse in a week if we were just to rely on "feelings" to run the infrastructures. That trait rejection might even be a better indicator of success than intelligence per say.
