Why Jews promote far-left activists?

I really dont get it. Where I am from all leftists are pro-Palestine and despise Israel. Even gay activists themselves support Palestine over Israel, using X/Twitter you easily see a lot of anti-semitic post coming from them. So why?

Because it's an emergent phenomenon. I don't think there's been a group of Jews in a room 200 years ago who decided to push for leftist ideas in advance. It's more that Jews, by being an ethno-religious minority, historically persecuted, but very urban and with high IQ, naturally tended to promote ideologies that push for tolerance and openness because by making these values widespread it becomes less likely for Jews to be persecuted.
Some of them instead opted for nationalism and created Israel. Many were both zionists and leftists and wanted co-existence with the arabs in palestine, but things went out of hand, as we know.
