I think this question depends on the person. However, in general, Dutch individuals may feel a stronger connection to one option over the other.

I am curious about their opinions but what I can say about Dutchies is that they are one of the friendliest people in the world. I lived in the Netherlands before for my education. Miss you all <3

I think we're in the middle. Before the World Wars, we were definetely pro-German (despite of our political and military neutrality) and felt close to them. Since the World Wars, we have warmed up to the English but that love relationship has grown colder over the last 15, 20 years (even before Brexit). Who we really feel close to is the Belgians and, up to a degree, Luxembourgers.

Subscribed. That being said, I havent had a single encounter with a Dutch person that wasnt genuinely (and I can tell the difference) friendly. If there is any coldness left from the world wars than I didnt feel it.

So we got an answer from a real Dutchie(if not the only active Dutch from Netherlands member) that to neither really for now. Basically it seems Dutch people are not warm and hospitable because of their history and protestant culture, so rather there is not much space for Dutchie to feel close to anyone.

Considering Dutch Army is going to be integrated into German Army I would rather say there is coming back sympathy to Germans, if Dutch would mind they would highly protest(like the farmers did or how it was during covid). There is this love-hate relationship going on.

I would assume Germans, given the greater geographic/linguistic/cultural closeness, but especially since the World Wars and general Americanisation there has been a strong Anglophilia in the Netherlands too, so probably close to being a tie.

Germans, even if they are genetically closer to the English.
