That is fair, I don't know much about those places really. Would be interesting to visit and see how much they have kept I think :--)

Well Argentina is the only one AFAIK to have actually had a president of Syrian origin.

N.B. Brazil's interim president between Rousseff and Bolsonaro was of Lebanese origin too.

A rather random list. Care to elaborate?

Brazil: football, Amazon (read travel books by first explorer and other ones who travelled by Amazon and/or in the jungle), interesting large cities and interesting European recent immigration communities and culture(s), music (I like some singers and bands)

Mexico: football, Aztecs (read original account of the first explorers that met them), Mayans, Yucatan, TV series when I was a child

Chile: football (Colo-Colo), Mapuche, landscapes, Eastern Island, interesting culture with strong indigenous genetic inheritance, interesting Spanish accent

Colombia: football (I quite love the Latin American teams at the World Cup), interesting big cities

Argentina: while I like many things about Argentina (Ernesto Sabato, Patagonia, Ushuaia, the Ukrainian community) I don't support their national football and rugby teams haha

and similar reasons further. so it's not really random.

I've been watching many travel vlogs from all these countries, also history and geography documentaries, I am actually interested in quite each place in the world I am very curious about places, cultures, people

There's definitely a lot levantines In Mexico doesn't have a racial census but estimates put at least 1-3 million Carlos Slim Is full blooded Lebanese and Salma Hayek only half I think.

Uruguay.

I recently discovered it's by far the most philhellenic country in the Americas. Many landmarks in Montevideo are named after Hellenic-related stuff. Pretty cool if you ask me.
