President Sauli Niinistö (Finland) brought up the idea of ​​the EU's joint military forces on several occasions. Between the years... let's say 2013 and 2020. Unfortunately, the big EU countries didn't warm to this idea (France, Germany, Great Britain), not to mention the small ones (who are so called freeloaders in NATO). Why? 1.) They saw NATO (= USA?) as sufficient, 2.) they did not want to create a dual organization, 3.) they did not believe that Europe could face a real war today. I doubt Finland would not be a NATO member today.

Russian diplomat issued a warning what will happen to Finland if the country (Russia) is in any kind of war with NATO. It is not a threat because whether NATO and Russia will be at war is not entirely down to Russia's decision (NATO can initiate the war).

For example, do you know anything about the discussions between Putin and President Niinistö (those which have kept behind closed doors)? Even if you got panic attacks, I seriously doubt Putin is the real danger and certainly not me. And I think if you were shaking from fear when the president met Putin as friend, you won't certainly feel better if you meet Putin as enemy.

Needs to be more cultural matter (part of SISU) as Finland did not become occupied while WW II. People were ready to fight behalf of the country for their last breath (against huge enemy). In case you suspect your leader in betrayal, you have to know NATO is not a solution, you could sort out the issue in a court. Instead you support enlisting your country men as cannon fodder for American military machine.
