2020 census numbers for White Americans

Really detailed ethnic stats available on the US census website, rankings and maps at national, state and county level, for single ancestry and multiple ancestry answers. A great resource. Looks like 'American' wasn't included as an option here, hence English being the largest reported ancestry again after 40 years.

Very anti-American. They could if they wanted to, the page below is even more detailed, but the last census was still a jumbled mess putting 'Australian' ancestry alongside English, Irish and Scottish.

Very detailed statistics.

Something that my own country's statistics bureau should learn from. We didn't even record up to millions perhaps, while the US traced ancestry from Europe down to the latest decimal.

I jest because I'm sure Australia is more than capable but it probably comes down a willingness to share the information or to care about the categories in the first place. I'm happy the American census went into this level of detail.
