Idk about Incal. My mom has said Bolivia is a communist shit hole. Probably some hints there.

While obviously not as big as the gap between Bolivia and Chile or Argentina, the HDI gap between Bolivia and Peru is also surprisingly big.

Nationalism, tribalism, egocentrism... everybody wants to feel they are unique and special: it's human nature.

That's sadly true, and now that Milei's in Argentina they'll face even tougher times.

Still, outside of maybe football matches, I imagine Bolivians and Peruvians mostly get on pretty well, don't they? We are not talking about Israelis vs Palestinians or even Indians vs Pakistanis here, after all.

Generally speaking, south Americans get along pretty well. Even better if it's B/G.

Iran was free out of Arabian political grip very soon. Even the Turkics inside Iran do not cluster with anyone other than those surrounding Iranics.

    ................................

Something else for the topic as most people are just not aware enough. Shia Islam that modern-day Iranians follow was enforced by mighty Qizilbash Turkic Safavid Empire in 15th century It was a political move by Shah Esmael Safavi to give Iranians a separate united identity, free from Ottomans. It was a native system by that time because many scholars to this day argue that Safavi Shiaism was nothing but native Iranian spirituality mixed with islam belief system. Had they wanted they would have converted Iran to tengrism, they were that powerful. They clashed with Ottomans, Moghals, Turco-Mongols and Russians headon but kept Iran free. The border between Iran and Turkey has not moved an inch from their times even though both sides won and lost numerous wars later but balance of power never was lost and is still maintained to this day. Point is the Shia conversion worked, it gave Islamic Iran the identity as powerful as its pre-islamic days. At one point the Shia Qizilbash conquered land stretched from Georgia to India. The nation had a new identity mixed with old one. So Shia Islam is deeply embedded in the Iranian soul and is part of being Iranian. It would not go anywhere except that religion altogether is dying all across the world and reducing itself to what it always was ... a socio-political cult turned into a belief system. So iran wil become less Islamic with time, just like the rest of the world is losing religion.

Iran has Christians, and Jews and they live freely and have represented Iran at the topmost levels. Not too long ago the captain of the Iranian Soccer team was a Christian man.

Iran is a very educated society, no one realy cares about religion.
Also, Shiasm was already a part of Iranian society when the Buyids were in charge.

Im not sure how much you have had to do with them personally.
I have known Arabs and because my wife is Armenian originally from the Armenian diaspora of Iran, I have met a lot of Iranians and
got to learn a lot about their culture.

My impression is Arabs and Iranians are quite different both linguistically and culturally.

In short I think Persians are friendlier than Arabs , if you speak to any westerner that has travelled to Iran they usually have
nice stories about their interactions with Persian people and the hospitality of Iranian people.
As for the Iranian Government , thats a different thing and many Iranians especially Urban ones do not like their own Government either.
(Arabs can be ok ..depending the individual, but they in general tendency are hotheads-argumentative-proud-can be difficul--prone to conflict and drama, can be friendly and nice too depends, also can be tricky-nice face but liars-but depends the person)

Iranians are originally Zoroastrians not Muslims, many Nationalist Persians look to Zoroastrianism as being their identity and regard Islam as an Arabic culture that was forced upon them.

I have personally met several Iranians that have converted from Islam to Christianity, you won't find this happen much in Arabic countries as the person converting would likely be killed by other Muslims.
