IRAN: No longer an Islamic nation

Iran appears to be heavily split between rural and working-class people, who provide the bulk of the support for the current Islamist regime, and the urban middle-classes, who are probably among the most secularised and Westernised people in the MENA region besides Secular Jews in Israel. And much of the Islamophobia in Iran described by RogueState derives from the fact it is seen as a foreign (Arab) imposition.

Yeah, excuse me if I dont really believe that. They`ve worshipped that evil demon Allah for way to long with zeal, going as far as randomly killing women simply for not wearing their burkas right. So why the sudden change of heart?
There`s a HUGE difference between proclaiming to be Christian and actually acting Christian.

It was the Perso-Islamic and Turko-Persian dynasties, such as the Samanids, Tahirids, Saffarids, and the Safavids that played a major role in reviving the core of Iranian identity. It is what it is. You all can call it the religion of evil etc whatever. Iran will not exist without Islam.

Certainly there is a secularization process among Iranians (up to rampant Islamophobia among their Diasporans) but as far as I can see, and similarly to the process that occurred in the West, it just means people stop believing/practicing their religion and not joining a new one (or very rarely)

So the de-islamization of Iran doesn't mean Christianization at all tbh (or for very few little cases)

There's strong evidence (not in this video) of a Christian revival in Iran, Christian missionaries name Iran as the country with the highest Christian growth rate in the world.

The Sassanids revived the Persian identity very well, and that was before the Islamic invasion. Actually Iranians resisted becoming fully Islamized for a very long time. It is no loss to lose Islam. Iranians can go to their pre-Islamic roots, or even better, fully embrace Christianity.

What I think is that you are trying to sell Iran to us as something acceptable with this video, just because Iran is an ally of convenience of Russia and you support Russia.

It is a way of seeing it. Christianity is an "update" of Judaism and the Muslim religion is an "update" of Christianity.

I understand but I don't see that happening in Iran. What's been really happening is the loss of cultural traditional values and the adoption of western values. The Iranian youth don't give a shit about religion. I'm probably more Iranian in character than the Iranians that migrate here.

As for the Sassanids, they just helped form the Persian identity, not necessarily revive it. That goes to the Samanids and Tahirids.

Wait a minute mister. Who said that? I may not be the most devout in terms of practicing, yet I`m still a baptized Catholic and a believer. I simply chose to not make a political thing out of it.

I`m "hateful" towards muslim populations in general simply because of what their "refugees" are doing to my country and the rest of Western Europe.
