Peru is roughly 1.5 times larger than Turkey, but their population is not even half of Turkey. Add it to underpopulated.

What about China? They are definitely overpopulated like India, even though it’s the third largest country by land.

If the population were better-distributed throughout China, it would probably be about right. The problem is most people live along the Southeastern coast, whereas much of the North and West in particular are relatively empty.

Didn't you stop to think that maybe Turkey is the overpopulated one?

On that same basis, it could be argued that Bolivia is underpopulated too - in area it is not much different to Colombia, yet has almost four times fewer people.

N.B. In the case of the UK, while the country is certainly overpopulated as a whole, this is not really true of the three Celtic countries and nor the more rural parts of the North of England (North Yorkshire, Cumbria, Northumberland).
