    Basically parts of all of these groups, it is obvious in Lebanon that there are over a million maybe even over two million who are not counted in normal population surveys (censuses are not done officially, iirc they are illegal). It is honestly kind of sad, like “La la la there is no demographic change,” it would disrupt the religious confessional government functioning too much to acknowledge their existence

    It's not a matter of like or dislike, the Western half of Australia is 90% (or some vast majority) desert or semi-desert, where nobody wants to live, and moreover can't sustain large populations. And if you increased the population tenfold they're overwhelmingly going to be crowded into the precious minority of green fertile land, and ruin it with overdevelopment.
