Demirkazık's DNA results.

Hello, everyone! I was feeling a bit bored and decided to start a thread about me and my family's DNA results after mentioning it in the ChatBox. Despite sharing numerous posts from various calculators over my 8-month presence here so far, this is the first time I will be sharing my results in such detail.

In summary, I'm an Anatolian Turk from Ankara, with a significant portion of my ancestry being from Ankara and Bolu. My father is from Ankara/Kızılcahamam, while my mother's maternal side is from Ankara/Çubuk and Akyurt; her paternal side is from Bolu/Kıbrıscık. In a regional sense, I am 3/4 Central Anatolian and 1/4 West Blacksean.

According to my family's oral history, my paternal Great-Grandfather's Grandfather came from Russia which also correlates with my Y-DNA. There are also mentions of distant Crimean Tatar relatives on the maternal side and distant Azerbaijani/Khorasan Turk ancestry on both maternal and paternal sides. Additionally, I seem to have distant Finnish ancestry on my maternal side, and I'm still researching it's origin.

I think it is so interesting that we are pretty geographically close but genetically far, even though I know the reasons.

Prior to my knowledge in genetics, I always thought that Syrians were a population that leaned much more Southern. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that the majority of Syrians were very Anatolian shifted.

Ahahahha gu*rbetçi he valla iyi güldürdü, babamın eşleşmeleri de aynı şekilde çoğunluğu gurbetçi. O değil de DNA testini ilk yaptığımda ailemle gırgırını yapıyorduk "Ya Japon çıkarsak" ya da "Finlandiyalı çıkıyormuşuz" tarzında, harbiden de Finlandiyalı çıktık.

What is your parents' Mongoloid according to GEDmatch? I've checked them with the Standard Davidski model and your mom is like 16% Han+Nganassan which is a lot for Turkey.

MyHeritage sonuçları gerçekten saçma benim kit bu arada FTDNA’ya ulaştı. Bundan sonra 2-4 hafta bekleyeceğim artık. Baikal Hunter Gatherer’ın olmaması da Illustrative DNA’da şaşırttı.
