We are all rather heavily mixed ethnicities at our ancient core which shows in so much random diversity in phenotypes. Like today I was looking at my 23andMe matches, and I could you not... I saw a woman who looks very Mestiza. Turns out she is full Portuguese. Not gonna post the photo for privacy sake but really wakes you up to how diverse people's pheno can be. My girl who is an actual Mestiza genetically, looks more european than her. Saw a similar phenomenon with a half French half Portuguese as well who looked Latin American mixed. Then I found a 67% euro Iberian Jalisco Mexican match with red hair, extremely porcelain skin, looked irish. Phenotype is hilarious to say the least. So all has to do with randomness of what your recent family history has selected in partners based off features. Phenotype isn't really as much as a science as people wanted to make it out to be. And it's definitely not some sort of thing you can assert with high confidence someones ethnicity with aside from latching on to stereotypes.

Go back 3 days ago, was on TikTok. Saw a woman do an AncestryDNA test she looked persian or some sort of MENA to me. Turns out she is 100% NW european. Unreal. I get they are outliers but if they are scoring 100% of an ethnicity on a commercial test it is enough to say how irrelevant phenotype are, and that stereotypes of super lightness / (also super darkness) are funny to try to standardize.

And then cherry on top some british looking dude posted his full palestinian ancestrydna results. Ye his style looks mena but his pheno purely looks north euro like.

Yes, I feel many people do not realize that while ethnicity is obviously heavily correlated with your phenotype/appearance, it is not the end-all-be-all. Is a German more likely to have blonde hair than an Iraqi? Yes, of course. But if a blonde Iraqi marries a blonde Iraqi they will not shit out Osama bin Laden, it will be another blonde Iraqi. There are 'typical' looks or things you can assume, but in the end it is far more random than we would like to believe.
