What was your country's best period in terms of economics?

It is getting better in last few years.

For non lazy people and those who don't think that everything should be given to them by default, it's always more or less ok times (as they don't search for any kind of "Golden age"). I don't count those who cannot maintain themselves, got ill, old people etc they should be maintained by relatives, children. I've noticed that people who are busy don't even have time to think about some social justice nonsense.

Until 2014 Russia was one of the richest post-communist countries, richer than the likes of Latvia, Lithuania, Poland.

It took the entire Western world's effort to tamper our development.

This is actually a problematic statement as Russia had a significant GDP growth starting from 2010 to 2013; before this it was poorer than Poland for example. So while Russia started to lose once again it's not unlike what it was before.

The irony being that the aforementioned period was still mostly Tory governments, except for 1945-51 and 1964-70. Would MacMillan and Douglas-Home even recognise what the Conservative Party has become?
