Russia's fertility rate has been dropping since 2016 but during the period between 1999 and 2015 it grew from 1.2 to 1.8.

One might find individual cases, but the overall global trend is very much in the opposite direction. For heaven's sake, even Iran, Saudi Arabia, Bangladesh and several states in India have below replacement rates.

Why were all the UK countries covered except Wales? Unless they meant to say 'England and Wales' rather than just 'England'. Also, the birth rates of most East Asian countries are a joke.

East Asia has cathastrophic low fertility rate, especially South Korea and Taiwan.

The Iranian figure is wrong. It's recorded at 2.1 (2.091) in 2023 by Government itself and that is the UN reported number as well. It was a huge debate on media and the Head of the military said they are targeting 3.0 with reformed socio-economic policies.

When you subtract babies born to parents with immigrant background from the statistics, Western European birth rates are the same as East Asian.

    True.

Finland for example, they have transparent data on the website of the Institute of Statistics:

"The total fertility rate for the whole country was 1.37 children per woman, of which the share of women with Finnish background was 1.16 children per woman."
