North Indians may be "lighter" in terms of pheno (idk really, only the really high caste ones) or the same, but in terms of genotype/genetics/admixture, the yemenis are closer to europeans. Which is what matters. North Indians are both aboriginal and mongoloid-admixed, while yemenis are basically pure natufian, the same that sardinians in Europe are pure EEF. And ANF were basically half natufian (the other half being AHG), soooo.... I think its obvious.

If comparing Sikhs to Yemenis, then no question Sikhs are lighter, but the term northern Indian is misleading as it encompasses much larger land than just Yemen. Northern India also includes low caste caste groups who are more Dravidians, whilst in the south you have brahmin groups who are more Aryan. Either way, It's Northern Indians just on the basis of Kashmir region / Himachal Pradesh and Sikhs who are lighter than Yemenis.

This notion that Indians are almost if not as dark as SSAs is a myth. Only a minority of them are, mostly in the south of the country. (The thread title is Yemenis vs Northern Indians). All the same, I'd say that Yemenis are lighter, but only slightly.
