What's the typical croatian beer? Didn't have time to drink there.

Our beers are pretty average especially commercial ones. Not great not terrible. Avoid Ožujsko, that is bottom shit. Karlovačko is better. Slovenian Laško is a good buy and you have them in every shop. I usually buy Czech beers that are popular here.

However, we have thriving craft beer scene recently and some beers are worth to try like these:

Grička vještica (The Witch of Grič) - dark lager


Russian Imperial Stout


Velebitsko is also decent beer from normal ones.

There are some more or less ok classic eurolagers in Balkans and no more needed imo. Zajecarsko, Banjalucko, Nektar are enuff for me. Of dark ones there's Niksicko. I've tried Karlovacko, nothing special. I don't like when people have attitude to beer like it's wine, I mean all this sommelier attitude and craft beer perversions

Normal Balkan beers are all alright....except ožujsko

I don't really drink beer but tried some fancy Belgian beers recently and I really think they are Europe's best. Those were amazing.

I drink beer in summer sometimes and out of summer accidentally like this time 2-3 January. I don't like feeling of sight drunkness from beer, it's weird to me. Beers make me swollen asap, you know, nobody drinks one 0,33cl beer in pub and drinking some 4-5 of 0,5l beers make you drink some 2,5 litres of liquid. I don't enjoy it too much even tho I like when during the summer heat you start to drink the cold lager, first two beers go perfectly.
