Why do West Asians in general, myself included have elevated ANE?

I can understand high Natufian, but not the ANE.

Very similar to mine. Since my mother have little Turkic heritage my EA is low

How is your EA low though? You are Karachay and azeri. If anything, it's slightly above average considering the fact that North Eurasian very often possesses EA as well, especially when present in West/Central (even South) Asians.

ANE is indeed very present in specifically Iranics and Turkics. Has to do with Indo-Europeans/Indo-Iranians, Scythians, other populations from that era...they contributed a lot.

ANE is known to be comprised of two elements, one being around 75% and being mainly of Western descent, and minor 25% being more affiliated with Eastern/Northern Asians. They've contributed to Europeans as well, which means that Europeans also have an Asian influx (although not significant of course).

Iranics, Turkics and many South Asians as well have a lot of ANE. It can go up to 40%, and is considered as Steppe by many (which makes sense). What's interesting with the ANE component though is that it can be misread quite easily in the sense that it can be detected as higher or lower. As aforementioned, ANE is roughly 75% western and 25% eastern. In some cases, it could be that a bunch of European and/or East Asian DNA is hiding within those ANE components.

Idk tbh !! But mine is the opposite my European HG is higher than ANE.
I compared my k6 results to my Saudi friend he’s ANE is the highest after natufian and low European HG
Also his primary and secondary population result is 100% west asia/Middle east
Unlike mine my secondary population is 35% European east , Sardinian 27% , north Anatolia 40%. It’s likely due the high EHG.

Yeah yours is very high!! I think ANE is linked to Indio Europeans that migrated to west Asia from Central Asia. Persians and Afghans scores very high ANE!!
