Not sure if he is friend but my friend from Prizren, who is sort of prominent cultural figure there, told me that France is one of their worst enemies (along with Iran) because of some things going in the background. It sounded like some sort of conspiracy theory, knowing official foreign policy of France, so idk what to think.

France was our ally in WW1 and WW2, and was really loved and popular.
But after they participated in bombing of Serbia in 1999 and recognising para-state in Kosovo, they are not any more perceived as such.
