Yes, there are alwaya heroes on both sides, but sad are the ones who fight for a warped cause, as it was for the preservation of a cruel and antedilluvian (I have been dying to use that word lately!) feudal system that the benighted Rebels gave their lives! Enlightenment of the Rebel masses was one of the many noble goals of the Yankees as they crusaded for Southern Liberation.

How are the Confederates anything like Antifa? I would say Antifa is like the Federal army. They took over everything and stoled, burned, raped, and pillaged. BLM fits that too. We could also compare the Federal army to the Nazis, but that's too easy and I'm not into Hitler paranoia.

The reality is that Antifa is absolutely unlike either one, and the hardcore partisans on both sides who wish to demonize half of historical America for political purposes by associating it with 21st-century Marxists do not know their history.

Well let's start with personal appearance. Antifa are a scruffy lot. Looking at old Civil War pictures, we see that rebels soldiers, too, took precious little pride in their appearance and manner of dress, whereas Union boys tended to look snappy!
