AncestryDNA Updated Communities

I'm not even gonna bother posting my communities update because it was extremely disappointing, they just assigned me 2 subregions within my 1 French Canadian community (whose region isn't even correct according to my genealogy/tree) so It's basically the same very lazy update..... I didn't get any communities yet in Europe still ): ugh. Also if you want to argue with me that the community must be right and my research/tree must be wrong this isn't the place for that, if so please fuck off thank you. I'm still surprised MyHeritage assigned me the right regions but Ancestry hasn't been able to yet. Well I'm trying to keep my hopes up still for a future update, but It's hard with all the paywall stuff.

Stears got new communities

I've lost communities, my Irish communities, Donegal, Inishowen, Lough Corrib & Lough Mask are gone, and Scottish Central Lowlands, Highlands & Islands, Argyll & Bute are also gone. I'm now left with no Scottish communities at all, which is pretty ridiculous. As it stands all I have left now is Connacht, Galway, North Connemara. I'm not impressed

I've just come back to post on the Ancestry GCs update.

I've lost my GC to Central Ireland and have no GCs from my father's side but North Leinster could be from that side. I have a first cousin on Ancestry and they have the GCs from Roscommon. I'm getting my brother tested at Ancestry to see what GCs he gets.

I've kept all the GCs from my mother's side and also gained another one North Tipperary which is correct as that is where she is from.



My daughter has gained a baffling new GC so I'm presuming it is from her father's side. She has a first cousin from that side who doesn't have this GC so I'm not sure where it comes from yet.





I'm a bit non-plussed about the Northern Ireland and Scotland GCs? I'm presuming from her father's side but their ancestry is Wexford and Dublin.

I have a first cousin on Ancestry on my father's side and his GCs are the following:




I'm very interested to see if my brother will pick up some the of the GCs from my father's side which I've missed out on.

Is the Russian community shared with any relatives? Although I would naturally assume no because it would be wasteful, did your twin brother ever test with Ancestry?

My twin brother has never tested with any of these companies tbh
I have 3 second cousins on Ancestry as close relatives, but that's it

It's a strange one as I don't score any eastern Euro ancestry
