Nothing in my honest opinion lol. I think more and more people should give up gifts in all honesty. All the years I have people nice and thoughtful gifts only to end up being ghosted or dumped by them and typically never get a thank you or anything ever for the damn fucking gift...gifts really do not improve your relationship with others even for friends and it won't mean anything to them unless they see you as higher or equal status to them. It's best to improve your connections to friends through actions as much as possible.

My personal opinion: stay AWAY from perfumes.
I have been given perfume on a few occasions and never worn any of it because it smells revolting (according to me).

Friends celebrated birthday last weekend and we got a pretty cool gift for a guy: cigars and 6 laps of driving in pro Rally car. His girlfriend also celebrated birthday since they were born one day apart, and while in my opinion her gift wasn't nearly as cool as his it still wasn't bad: a full spa/massage session and some kind of machine for easy nail removal.
Also both got additional gifts from us: paintings of the property where we celebrated.
