But what is often forgotten is that, in open hierarchies, if some go up then others should go down too. A dodgy and corrupt businessperson does not deserve to keep his or her wealth and status. As for those kinds of quotas you mention, I used to support them but not anymore. Ability, competence and talent are all that should matter.

I think IQ and traits are mostly genetically inherited, so in most cases people born into a higher class are genetically gifted and prepared to be competent and successful within the class of their parents.

There will be a marginal number of individuals that over and underperform for their social class, if that makes sense, that's pretty hard for me to express what I want to say on english on that issue.

I know quite a few higher-class people, I have been around them too much and their character, IQ, and competitiveness quite vary.

Those who climb up are often gifted, competent, and successful. Not their kids.
