Default 70% or 80% of war casualties in Ukraine are a result of artillery fires

Recent reports indicate that 70% of Ukraine’s casualties are a result of artillery fires.
    https://rusi.org/explore-our-researc...nd-innovations

Artillery has accounted for about 80% of casualties on both sides.
    https://time.com/6694885/ukraine-russia-ammunition/

Ukraine is firing 6,000 to 7,000 artillery rounds per day compared to Russia's rate of 20,000 to 60,000 at the peak of its barrages this year.

Tell us something about your own loses, How many casualties are rumored or is published in Russian press or media in your country that your troops have had?

It's like the renaissance of artillery, I don't know if they include RPGs,missiles, drones etc... or if they refer to the traditional artillery of cannons and rockets.

Poor gixajo consistently shows he can't read. What does the second quote say? It addresses your post.

Of course, percentage of casualties does not indicate how many but that's not the point of the thread.

Needless to say I've been saying from very early on this was a war of wearing down the enemy through artillery.

They can't do it forever, even Soviet stockpiles are finite.

Russia has another 3 years worth of heavy equipment (SPGs and MBTs). Putin himself said that the war should conclude by 2025. At the end of 2025, Russia will have one more year of equipment that they will try to stretch if they're still not in a good place for negotiations. At that point (2026) they'll enter desperation mode.

Covert Cabal keeps track of the equipment in Russian depots - these are the latest summaries:

    Russian artillery counts

    Russian tank counts

Yes, it only makes sense that Putin share with his enemies that Russia is fucked after 2025 instead of just giving a timeline to the end of the war.

    That's what world leaders do.

I don't know Covert Cabal. I'm sure they're very insightful if I haven't heard about them until now.

Putin declaration was for internal consumption. It's also a clear deadline for the braindead administrative apparatus in Russia. It doesn't mean the war stops in 2025. But if it drags longer than 2025 the chance of a positive outcome for Russia is minimal.

Ukrainians dominated with UAVs and drones in the very beginning and forced Russia into rapid development in this sphere, so someway it made bad work for Ukraine in a long run as everything related to drones in Russia produced/purchased and people get trained/educated for maintaining, driving the drones at the rapid speed. Tanks, no matter which ones, are becoming the anachronism. Infantry, drones, missiles and artillery rule the game.

Please read again my whole post:

Is it better understood now that what I want is to know estimates that have been given for Russia and not the ones we already know about the Ukrainian side?

Is something wrong with you today? I see you especially fixed on me like in the old days.
