That reminds me of this quote by Brendan Behan.

I'm trying to find something Billy Connolly also said about the Irish and the Jews having the best humour but I can't find that one at the moment.

I did find this and it created a lot of anger from Scots which I can understand because I do think Scots have a great sense of humour.

Connolly suggests the mix of Irish, Jewish and Italian immigrants who moved to Glasgow have helped make it a city with a greater sense of humour.
