There are many great female singers (that I like myself to listen to), but truth to be told it's mostly "when homies aren't around"...

Indeed, it's a certain category of "men" that are fans of Madonna, Lady Gaga, Britney Spears, Céline Dion, Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey, ABBA, Cher, Spice Girls, ...

There are from the Americana/roots stuff I grew up on.

It is gender swapped so the title is different.

Notice his first name is spelled joHn

of course, Lucinda Williams was the queen of caterwauling in the nineties.
That didn't stop her from winning grammys and being featured in films including the very first x-men
I don't care for either versions tbh.

Of course, you don't care for them. I like them so you cannot.

I doubt you even bothered to sample any of those songs.

You're going to have to dig pretty deep to find ANY successful female (or for that matter male) entertainer who doesn't inspire spiteful envy from meade.

It's just so unfair that all these people, who clearly have NO talent, NO singing ability, NO sense of tone, NO artistic taste, manage to captivate their fans.

He doesn't have the intellectual curiosity to go beyond simplistic "pretty, pretty" things.

I have no envy of any female singer and I'm not the one who started this thread. I did point out that a lot of female covers from the original male artist have been dreadful. That doesn't mean all female singers are bad, it's just they don't seem to do justice to the original.
