I'm not going to talk about religion. I'm a rational person who recognizes that not every life is precious. Preserving nature is more important than preserving people.
Canada is extremely overpopulated. Just because there might technically be enough room for tens of millions of more people doesn't mean there should be. The more densely populated an area, the worse it becomes.

I am in many ways Green-leaning too, though unlike many other Greens I understand the importance of nuclear energy etc. And read what I said much earlier in this thread about euthanasia: it is one thing to allow someone with terminal cancer in a constant state of pain to be helped to die, but quite another to use it as an 'escape route' for poverty, homelessness or disability.
Canada is among the top ten least densely-populated countries on Earth. We are talking about a country which is second only to Russia in area but with a population size that barely reaches Poland's.Canada is extremely overpopulated. The people being euthanized are marking the choice. There's nothing wrong with that.
Forget about size. Most of Canada is not climactically suitable for large scale human habitation.Canada is among the top ten least densely-populated countries on Earth. We are talking about a country which is second only to Russia in area but with a population size that barely reaches Poland's.

How do you feel about abortion? Should it be allowed in all circumstances, regardless of the reasons why a mother would have one?
Though even that might change with climate change - Canada will be one of the world's beneficiaries from it. (Completely the opposite of Australia, another very sparsely-populated and large nation, which is already suffering from desertification and water shortages).Forget about size. The Country is in massive debt from Socialist policies, they're killing people rather than treating them because it's an economic solution. It's not a healthcare solution. Euthanasia should be reserved for those with terminal illness, or other severe diseases without treatment options.

I am comfortable with this policy, if it's reserved for people with terminal illnesses, where the diagnosis can be more objective. People with mental health conditions can go through periods where they feel better when they receive the right help.
Unfortunately, people who have designed such policies have not taken into consideration the immense impact it will have on the mental health of professionals who administer these drugs. You never hear how these doctors or nurses are going to be supported.

They are NOT doctors, they are killers who violate their medical oath and cross the line. And they need to be "supported" ?!
Karma/God/residual conscience punishes them.
They moved from professional medicine to professional murder.
Many of their victims are poor, mentally ill, or old and disabled people in retirement homes, including Jews.
Presumably we learned something morally from the Third Reich and World War 2.
