You will see that for all countries with a National Health System and an aging population,
either the quality of healthcare WILL degrade gradually until it becomes useful only for emergencies,
and/or there will be a push for state-assisted suicide/homicide,
first of the terminally sick,
then of ALL the sick,
then of the disabled,
then of the poor,
then of the social and political undesirables,
then of entire demographic groups.
National healthcare is very expensive, relies on robbing Peter to pay Paul,
and in the West there are far more old, sick Pauls than Peters.
So the utilitarian logic inevitably leads to state-assisted suicide to cut costs.
And the state encourages this mass death:
one waits in line for months, years for an operation or treatment, people die painfully waiting in line,
but state-assisted death is quick and available!
The cost of many drugs and treatments are not covered by the state because they are "too expensive",
but state-assisted death is free!
The health bureaucracy even comes to decide which individuals or demographic groups live or die,
as we have witnessed recently in the US with old people during Covid,
or as we have witnessed recently with the baby in Britain, Indi Gregory.
