Does "quirky" refer to a form of eccentricity perceived positively by the person? In reality, i'm rather introverted but outgoing in the way I speak with acquaintances and friends. However, this outgoing aspect is more in humor or in a direct way of speaking. I also have a "rustic" side (inherited from my father).

I'm not outgoing in actions, but rather in words.

I've noticed that verbal extroversion can sometimes be perceived as "too out of place" and therefore restrict a person to a small social circle (which is my case, and I'm not really bothered by it). I mention this because eccentricity is sometimes perceived as leading to more social connections, discovery, or "openness" (not realy my case, to he honest) but it's more nuanced in my opinion.
