I don't get why people think a somewhat blonde guy is of French ancestry etc, if he was Afghan no questions would be asked and if he was Spanish he would be presented as a common occuring type.

its kind of normal for depigmented Arabid to look Nordo-Med/Noric... has a light Syrian vibe, but look similar also like a Polish/French or Ashkenazi Jew etc.

No questions would be asked about if he was Afghan because Afghanistan was never colonised by European nations unlike Algeria where urban dwellers can have ancestry outside of Algeria, for instance Colonial french/Spanish ancestry or Ottoman Turkish ancestry .

The percentage must be pretty low though, this is Algeria we are talking about not Mauritania or Yemen so one would expect to see a decent number of European looking people, I knew a girl from Algeria who looked Welsh or dark British so it wouldn't be a surprise to see men like him in Algeria.
