The percentage must be pretty low though, this is Algeria we are talking about not Mauritania or Yemen so one would expect to see a decent number of European looking people, I knew a girl from Algeria who looked Welsh or dark British so it wouldn't be a surprise to see men like him in Algeria.

Not sure about percentages but it's not unheard of for Algerians to have a Turkish great grandparent etc. I don't know why that wouldn't be common especially in the cities as Algeria was colonised by settlers either from Europe or Ottoman Turkey.

Algeria is a country with a known history of White and Nordic influenced inhabitants, I think measures of eye blondish were comparable in places to parts of Iberia and hair blondish probably comparable to parts of Greece or southern Portugal, it's in Coons books.

Certain parts do in more rural mountain regions, Algeria is a diverse country so you can't lump everyone together.

I don't think I've ever met in person an Algerian with colored eyes, I have however seen Algerians with reddish white skin but distinct North African features.

Where were you in Algeria? There is not a significant Kabyle diaspora community in the UK, but maybe you saw some in France.

I think many Algerians in the UK might come from more urban areas and be of a darker type, you can't really use immigrants as an example of the general population, statistics show that Algerians have eye blondism in some regions that is similar to southern Europe.

Actually quite the contrary, majority of the Algerians I've met were kabyles/ Riffians, I'm not even mentioning the clear SSA or Arab shifted ones like Riyadh Mahrez etc.
