Why short women demand tall men

I am an average height (5’6) and prefer tall men (6 feet or taller). I’d like to be able to wear heels and not worry about looking taller than a guy. I also feel more feminine and protected. Most men I’ve dated were around 6 feet or taller. My husband is 6’2 185 lbs.

Kinda like us, 180 and 171 cm, she has been trying to reach me with her block heels for years.

In my high school we had shortish guy (around 1.7m) who dated unusualy tall girl (around 1.8m). It was bizzare, but they indeed dated for a while. He was handsomish and stylish. She was a volleyball player.

I dated two or three tall girls who were a couple inches taller, but it wasn't a very noticeable height discrepancy if they wore flats. There are couples where the woman is appreciably taller than the man, but I never came across a woman who *preferred* much shorter men. They'll date them if they're compatible in other ways, though. Still, it seems that height is a deal breaker for many women, even 5'0 women who won't date men shorter than 6'0, which is crazy!

Apricity made me browse through memory and i don't think i ever dated a girl shorter than 160cm, at least. So maybe we should start being tighter about it too. If only we could pretend to care that much...

Tall guys have the "manager" presence. Typically in the corporate world you will only find managers that are tall.

I am not longer in the corporate world as I hated it - but every single exec was taller than their staff....

I guess women like men that has an aura of authority..

In nature height has always been a symbol of dominance among species and it is an important trait from evolutionary and biological standpoint.

Women typically pick males who are taller than them and/or near the average of their own ethnic group, and nothing more than that-while men also prefer to choose them as leaders.

Height obsession is only unique to the US.
