Btw we have afghan refugees where I live. I’ve seen them in numbers irl, none of them even if dressed western and having pseudo euro features look European in real life.

I went to a gathering of afghans the other day, and there were so many Afghans in one place. Given that we are all on this forum I was certainly observing the phenotypes of the people who came in as I spoke to them, handed out drinks to them etc. There were plenty who could pass as Balkans/Romanians, although there were also plenty who looked west Asian and lesser so pakistani like. I noticed colored eyes was quite frequent regardless of where they could pass . Keep in mind majority of the people in the gathering were either tajiks or pashtuns. Refugees are a mix bag of everything. Also, I'm intrigued, how do you know they are Afghan? Do you speak to them? I highly doubt it you do, even here in the UK, Pakistanis and Afghans have similar clothing attire which people who are not aware of this can mistake the two for each other.
