They are brothers, same parents.
They are my cousins on my maternal grandmother's side (northern french).
The more exotic of the two brothers, in addition to being damn ugly, has traits that I have already found in certain members of my father's family, but perhaps less exotic, my father was, phenotypically speaking, already a little closer to him but less ugly.
On the maternal side of my mother's French family, they are very far from the "Gaulish" caricature that some have (they are neither red-headed nor blond, they are not tall, they do not have a Nordic facial features at all, some are even closer to the "berid" face, very North African IMO), but they are still locals without any trace of contribution other than the French from the North, radically Gaulish.
I would not say that the exotic cousin is "typical", but it is true that certain modern individuals from the North of France, non-mixed locals, sometimes have a phenotype that I would equate to the Middle East, or even the Maghreb (+ the style - outfit, haircut, excessive tan and vocabulary- which increases the effect).
If we go back in time, their ancestors had more normal characteristics.
Maybe it's dysgenic.
