Why do immigrants think they are the real deal?

For a while I thought this was an exclusive phenomena with Latin America émigrés (particularly chicanos) but lately I've learned it's a worldwide thing, the other day I found this Italian meme:



So what makes immigrants (or what's worse, their offspring) think they are the real deal (most can't even speak the language lol) compared to the originals who remain and live in the motherland? Cognitive problems? Psi issues? Drugs? What?

Yes I have noticed that Russians are very well-integrated immigrants throughout Western Europe,
especially since these are the more cosmopolitan and liberal Russians.
Their kids seem to fully blend into the countries that receive them.

We cannot say the same about kids of MENAs or Subcontinent Muslims or Africans. They are alienated because they are alien.

Because if they are full italians, they ARE italians, no? What are they? I guess most people say "if you are born as pig in a stable doesnt make you a horse"? Do you think i as immigrant am now austrian as everyone else or i am still what my genetic test says or my ancestry? It seems its you who thinks they are not italians by emigrating, i guess it also depends where they emigrated to and what the societal construct of ethnicity, race and nationality there is, i guess in peru they are peruvians like everyone else, a turk in germany or me in austria wouldnt be austrian as everyone else, and that doesnt mean we are ungrateful or something or mentally ill or obsessed, you can ask just everyone else and it really wouldnt matter what i myself say about it what i think.

That is one case, the other case is if they are "nazis" and self-segregate like germans in brasil, but still they are still germans, even if they are born in brasil, and other germans will see it that way too, and other people. Even if they self-segregate the principle is still the same, that they are germans or italians doesnt matter where they are born. Italy and Germany give them citizenship too.

Russians made white only places in sri lanka and therefore were kicked out, seems they are not much different then other "colonists". Why would they be?
