When I was young and watched (or played) Tomb Raider or Resident Evil I nor anybody I knew had any problems with female lead characters. People sense that it wasn't forced and that there is a creative part behind that. Maybe because such characters were created by men for men.

Let's be real, guys have only mildly enjoyed this type of recent movies because the lead actress might be hot and they dress or put her in oblivious situations that makes it the main interest of the "storyline". Those movies end up being the most objectifying and sexist ironically. Nobody would watch black widow if the main actress was a 4/10.



I type the movie title on youtube and all i find is scenes like this made by nerds in their basement.


We don't watch movies because Samuel Jackson, Robert Downey, Christian Bale are hot, but the next step is indeed to force down 4/10, diversity, and the reverse thing for men's roles, as with the now usual false reciprocity. It's a way to do it slowly step by step.
