I used to think I am one for having conservative views and wanting the best for my nation. But this is just stupid.
Everyone wants these goals and I am too kind to exclude someone purely on the basis where they are from.

Let's put American-type, new world, mongrel nationalism type of ''White Nationalism'' aside, and let's look at the old world. Because American nationalism is for people who lost their heritage and mixed out with also native American ancestry and who strive to have an identity in the new world, pop culture and globalization.

Nationalism developed in the 19th century Europe.
There were 2 models.

-French model: Very light, based on nationality, which you would call civic nationalism.
-German model: Developed under Prussian project of German unification, it is an ethnic nationalism.

Prussian model prevailed in the Balkans and the Ottoman Empire. Elites of Balkan countries and Ottomans went to the path of creating nation states on Prussian model. This is how countries such as Bulgaria, Serbia, Ottoman Turkey came to be. Actually, maybe French model would be more suited for multicultural empires such as Ottomans, but Prussian discipline and serious approach prevailed.

Nationalism in Europe and around seem to be on that German model to this day, with the exception of French but even French far right seem to have Prussian approach of ethnicity.

Civic nationalism is fine and dandy until the minorities are no longer minorities or are projected to no longer be minorities within a certain time frame

Right, I don't have a problem with minorities as long as they are minorities : 15% sounds reasonable. If I knew that the minority population would be capped at a certain level then I could become a civic nationalist.
